Is your idea innovative and beneficial?

Firstly, you need to figure out if your startup (or the concept behind it) is innovative enough. How do you go about this?

  • Will the project utilize new modern technologies or business model?
  • Does the project involve offering a new innovaion or service that sets it apart from competitors?
  • Does the project create new jobs in Spain, actively support small businesses or provide any other value for Spanish economy?
Do not meet all the criteria? Not a problem! In the business plan, you can write not only about what has already been implemented but also about what you plan to accomplish. You can enhance the innovation aspect of almost any idea!

✅Examples of good ideas for a startup:

Energy sector: web service for automated design of photovoltaic power plants
IT: platform for automatic website generation using AI
Green economy: automation of irrigation systems in agriculture

❌ What ideas don't work:

HORECA - restaurants, cafes, bars, bakery
Beauty - tattoo and beauty saloons
Specific servises - car repairing studio, sailing schools

How to apply

From Spain
You can enter Spain legally on any visa/document, including tourist Schengen and apply at once for a three-year residence permit. Then it can be renewed for 2 more years. After 5 years in legal status you can request for a permanent residence in Spain.

Consular submission for a visa has certain difficulties and even not possible in most countries. It is better to book a consultation before you start.

Finances

  • per main applicant: 31.752€ (200% of Spanish minimum wage (SMI) per year. For 2024 SMI per month is 1.134€. But mention that there are 14 payments in Spain)
  • per second family member: 11.907€ (75% SMI)
  • per third and following — 3.969€ (25% SMI)
  • for a family of 3 you need to prove that you have a minimum savings of 47.628€

Savings must be verified with a bank statement from any bank account. The entire amount must be in the main applicant's account.

By the way, if you're a student or have recently got DN residence you can modify it to Startup and get 24% tax fix for your active income in Spain. To get a special regime co-called "Beckham Law" it's necessary not to be a tax resident of Spain for the last 5 years.

Relocation made affordable, transparent and easy

Migrun is the greatest service for relocation – I have received my residence permit in Spain as a digital nomad in less than 1.5 months – from initiation to approval. The best thing about Migrun – they have many affordable solutions combined with lots of free guides, so you get the best value for your money. Plus you never feel pressured to pay more than you really need. Which is truly the mission of the company – to make relocation affordable, transparent and easy. Special thanks to Irina Degtyareva for helping with my case and questions! Looking forward to work with the Migrun team further. Many thanks!

Immigration service with emphatic and fair approach

My immigration to Portugal wouldn't happen if not for Migrun. First, they have a LOT of free guides of how to collect documents for different visas and residency types + a great chat with a lot of immigrants sharing their experience. A year ago it was a very simple website and a chat of a couple thousands - now an extensive platform and a family of useful chats on Portugal the largest being 10K people. I have collected all documents for D7 visa with their help for free.Later I changed my mind and decided to apply for residency as highly-qualified professional from inside of Portugal and did so with a great help of Migrun. Today I have received my residency card.Business with emphatic approach - unlike many other immigration services who just try to rip you off using your lack of knowledge. All people in Migrun have always been friendly, honest and trying to do their best.
